Dave first competed in the AZAB 20 years ago in his Rival 32. Having recently acquired a JPK 1010 he is looking forward to a faster and more competitive (though probably less comfortable) race this year in his newfound semi-retirement. Joining him for the outbound leg will be Ian Millard, an experienced inshore keelboat racer. The AZAB will be his first race longer than a Fastnet, and first double-handed adventure of any significant duration. On the return leg Dave will be joined by his son, Pete, who has sailed a wide range of dinghies and keelboats. They last competed together double-handed in the 2014 Triangle race.
